When you buy these products, you will not only be consuming more natural products good to your health, but also will help our people in the rural areas to live more qualified lives, to support their families’ needs and education. Moreover, you will provide the opportunity for small producer from villages to attain a sustainable life style, to work for more qualified products and, thus, to provide the means for Turkish products to have their deserved place and value in international markets.

Our story as Boreal Group begins in Mount Ida. In spite of living in the richest ecological land of Turkey, the inhabitants’ life doesn’t benefit with the richness of the district, and this situation brought the concept of starting our development work as Boreal Group with that region. After months of research and discussion, we laid the first foundations of our mission to recommend alternative products, so to supply rural development.

To show our respect to the inhabitants’ of the district and their mythological beliefs, and to promote the products with the same energy and power, we named our products as “Rhea”. We are here for also to market the worthy but unknown products from other regions of our country, with fair prices as the producers deserve; in other words, we are here to establish the concept of fair trade in Turkey.

Rhea as a project


It is said that, we try to find our souls - real us- in a lifetime journey. We feel that we are more closer to ours, after we have been to Mount Ida.

According to mythology, Rhea, the mother of all the Gods, was also the Goddess of the mountainous districts. It is believed that Rhea, who is also known as mother of Ida Mountains, was the mother of Zeus too.

In respect of the mythology, the husband of Rhea, Chronus, had a prophecy about being imprisoned by one of his own children, so he devoured them all as soon as they were born, except one son; Zeus who was rescued and raised by Rhea in a cave on Mount Ida, hidden from the eye. The healthy, young, vigorous Zeus, who grew up in those mountains, became God of the Gods in course of time.
